When Biden screws up with some sort of verbal gaffe (which happens more than one would like) you gotta have a little sympathy for
Robert Gibbs, the White House Press Secretary. As soon as Biden said that
he would not recommend taking any commercial flight or riding in a subway car "at this point" because the swine flu virus can spread "in confined places" the press went ballistic. Rightly so. Come on, Biden. Did you really need to alarm Americans and potentially scare people from using mass transit or the airlines?
Poor Gibbs. Just
